City East Community College: Who we are

City East Community College: Who we are
We believe in freedom of intellectual thought and enquiry and in the open exchange of ideas and evidence

Established in 1952, City East Community College is a non-profit organisation that is home to more than 10,000 students. Students travel from the far ends of Australia to indulge in one or more of the College’s impressive range of quality courses. When studying at City East, you will be welcomed with a sense of community as we work co-operatively with local councils, schools and neighbourhood facilities to organise, promote and offer lifelong learning in over 20 venues in Sydney’s East.

Every year we welcome people from all walks of life to enhance their vocational, artistic, creative and personal aspirations and subsequently make a career out of it. We cater to the educational needs of small business, parents, job seekers and busy city dwellers. The College also develops programs for adults with special needs in order to enrich their lives through learning.

Values:

We believe that every individual should have the right to pursue their dreams and City East Community College, for about more than six decades have been in the business of bringing those dreams to reality. We believe in freedom of intellectual thought and enquiry and in the open exchange of ideas and evidence. We recognise the need to embrace change and explore and appraise new possibilities. The principles of tolerance, fairness, equity and responsibility underpin all our activities and we seek to foster excellence in both our endeavours and those of our students.
