The University was founded in Perth, Western Australia in 1986, taking its name from the influential and widely revered former Prime Minister of Australia, John Curtin. His philosophy, to “look ever forward” continues to be embraced by the University, his words inspiring its teaching and research, and breathing a culture of innovation through staff and students.
Curtin is now the largest and most preferred university in Western Australia with more than 47,000 students spread across 16 different locations, including campuses in Sydney, Singapore and East Malaysia.
