Overall experience

Having an awesome time, so many great people and have made lots of friends. The students and staff are really friendly and it's a really beautiful campus to be on. I thought I would go to one of the city universities, but I found the whole environment too impersonal. Wollongong is more about the campus and the beach and its not such a massive place. I get to go for a surf or swim before class. Can be a bit difficult to drag yourself in time for class though. The Duckpond lawn is cool if you just want to chill out when the weather's good. I went to a discovery day and met some current students and got a feel for the place. Think this is important as some people do miss the big city life so best to take a look first.

How to write your review

As you write, always be thinking, 'what information can I give that a future student will find useful?'

Maybe you're having the time of your life, or perhaps being a student isn't living up to expectations - just as long as you're truthful and honest, and you try and explain your reasons for being positive or negative, your review can be anything you want it to be. And if you're not sure what to write, an easy way to get started is to list what you thought were the pro's and con's of your course, college or university.

And remember, whilst writing your review, please follow these ground rules:

  • be honest and truthful
  • don't swear
  • don't write any racist, defamatory, blasphemous or spiteful comments about individuals
  • don't include any sexually explicit or sexually gratuitous comments
  • don't name any pupils, tutors and teachers in your class
  • don't include telephone numbers or email addresses

If your review does include any of the above we may have to take it down.
